Job Overview
We are seeking an innovative Software Engineering Lead / Sr. Data Engineer to drive the design and development of our Analytic Foundation--a suite of commercialized analytical capabilities (prediction, matching, forecasting) supported by a robust data platform. Delivered through APIs, these services provide data and insights across a central store, enabling scalable, customer-focused solutions. This role partners closely with business teams to build products that deliver measurable value.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, scoping, and implementation of complex features and scalable applications.
Develop intuitive, responsive UIs and build/maintain performant data models.
Write, review, and maintain high-quality, well-tested code.
Mentor junior engineers and guide technical development.
Drive continuous improvements to development processes.
Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to apply user insights into new features.
Partner with global teams on end-to-end solutions.
Qualifications
5+ years of full-stack engineering in agile environments with proven leadership of large-scale features.
Expertise in Python/Scala, Spark, Hadoop (Hive, Impala, Airflow, NiFi, Sqoop), SQL, and building big data platforms.
Experience deploying production-level data-driven applications and machine learning systems at scale (Java/Scala/Python).
Proficiency in Java/Spring Boot, .NET/C#, React, Redux, TypeScript, SQL Server.
Strong background in predictive analytics, machine learning, statistics, and data modeling.
Skilled in mentoring, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Customer-centric, analytical problem-solver with strong communication skills.
Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

The Data & Services (D&S) group provides data-driven technologies and services that help global organizations make multi-million-dollar decisions, spanning payments consulting, loyalty, marketing, risk management, and experimentation (Test & Learn).
Within D&S, the Targeting Analytics Program delivers insights into Credit Risk, Portfolio Optimization, and Ad Insights. Current initiatives include API-based data publishing, modern UIs, new data sets/algorithms, and scalable big data processes.
