We are seeking a highly analytical and technically savvy Senior Business Analyst [Consultant] to join our Credit Research Technology team. You will be part of a dynamic group dedicated to building innovative research and investment tools that empower credit analysts and portfolio managers.
Working closely with product owners, developers, and investment professionals, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering solutions that enhance decision-making and drive smarter investment strategies across our fixed income portfolios.
Your Impact
As a Senior Business Analyst [Consultant], you will:
Lead the definition and delivery of business and system requirements supporting credit research, model-driven analysis, and portfolio management tools.
Act as a liaison between credit analysts, portfolio managers, and technology teams to ensure business needs are translated into scalable, high-performance solutions.
Drive end-to-end documentation, requirements traceability, and stakeholder alignment across Agile delivery cycles.
Contribute to the data strategy for credit research, integrating credit model data, issuer fundamentals, ESG inputs, and alternative datasets into the broader research ecosystem.
Support the firm's digital transformation initiatives through delivery excellence, innovation, and thought leadership.
Your Required Skills
10+ years of Business Analysis experience within a buy-side Fixed Income asset management firm.
Strong understanding of credit research workflows, with hands-on experience collaborating with credit analysts and portfolio managers.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and investment processes.
Proficiency in:
SQL - for data validation and exploration
AWS - particularly data services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Lambda)
Python - for prototyping analytical tools and performing data analysis
Strong command of business analysis practices, including:
Agile methodologies
Use case and workflow documentation
Data mapping and transformation
Acceptance criteria and test planning
Excellent communication skills - able to clearly translate technical issues into business terms and vice versa.
Your Desired Skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
CFA Certification or progress toward completion.
Familiarity with third-party credit platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, MSCI).
Experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Exposure to machine learning or AI frameworks for financial modeling is a plus.
