Snowflake Data Engineer - Consultant

Atrium EMEA are supporting a world-leading IT services consultancy in their search for an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer. You'll design and deliver scalable, cloud-based data solutions for a range of clients, working across industries to implement best practices, optimise performance, and solve complex data challenges.

Rate: PS500 per day (inside)
London: 2 days per week onsite
Duration: 6 months initial contract

Responsibilities
* Design and implement Snowflake-based data solutions aligned with client needs.
* Build and optimise ELT pipelines and data workflows.
* Apply data modelling and warehouse architectures (star, snowflake, data vault).
* Improve Snowflake performance, storage, and cost efficiency.
* Ingest data from APIs, databases, files, and streaming sources.
* Automate workflows with dbt, Airflow, or equivalent tools.
* Ensure data quality, security, and compliance standards.
* Support Legacy migrations into Snowflake and advise on best practice.

Skills & Experience
* 3-7+ years' experience in data engineering/warehousing.
* Strong Snowflake expertise with a proven delivery track record.
* Advanced SQL and Scripting (Python preferred).
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Familiarity with orchestration tools (dbt, Airflow, Talend, Informatica).
* Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
* Knowledge of governance and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).

Desirable: BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker), streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub).
