About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js, MySQL, and Cloud (AWS primary, Azure secondary). This is a hybrid role based in NCR New Delhi, India, requiring alignment with North American EST business hours. The role involves building and maintaining secure, scalable applications, implementing automated CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring best practices in cloud and cybersecurity. You will also collaborate closely with frontend developers and provide technical guidance to ensure seamless integration.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, optimize, and maintain backend services using Node.js and MySQL.
Deploy and manage applications in AWS (primary) and Azure (secondary) cloud environments.
Implement automated CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
Enforce cybersecurity best practices for secure public cloud applications (identity management, data encryption, access controls).
Provide guidance and support to frontend developers on API integration and backend architecture.
Manage and maintain code repositories in GitHub and GitLab, including version control and branching strategies.
Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for scalability and reliability.
Collaborate across teams to ensure project delivery within deadlines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer.
Strong proficiency with Node.js and MySQL (schema design, optimization, stored procedures).
Practical experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.) and working knowledge of Azure.
Proven track record of implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, etc.).
Experience with cybersecurity implementations in cloud-hosted applications.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication protocols (OAuth2, JWT), and microservices architecture.
Ability to mentor and collaborate with frontend developers.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to work EST time zone (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
Nice-to-Have Skills
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization/orchestration tools.
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
Experience in multi-cloud deployment strategies.
