Our client is a Private Equity backed manufacturer and supplier with a strong footprint in the industrial and energy sectors. With ambitious growth plans and a scaling global platform, they are seeking a Legal Counsel to join their in-house team.

Based in the West Midlands, this is a chance to step into a business-facing role that offers challenge, variety, and influence. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will be the second lawyer in the organisation, helping to shape the legal function while partnering with senior leaders on strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

Drafting, negotiating and advising on a broad range of commercial contracts.
Advising on data protection, compliance, regulatory, corporate governance, and employment law.
Providing pragmatic legal guidance across a technical stakeholder base.

About you:

UK or common law qualified solicitor.
Strong background in commercial contracts with flexibility to advise across diverse legal areas.
Collaborative, pragmatic and solutions-focused, with a strong commercial mindset.
Prior in-house experience an advantage but not essential

You will work closely with an ambitious and engaged C-suite, with the opportunity to shape the legal function and support a fast-scaling global business.
