About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Lawyer / Legal Counsel to support both internal and external legal requirements. In this role, you will handle a wide range of responsibilities -- from drafting and reviewing contracts to ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, advising on company policies, and supporting cross-functional teams. Much like a Business Analyst bridges business and technical needs, you will serve as the bridge between our business operations and legal requirements, ensuring we make sound, compliant, and risk-aware decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
Provide legal advice to internal teams on corporate, commercial, and compliance matters.
Support external legal requirements, including client contracts, vendor agreements, and partnerships.
Ensure company policies, processes, and operations comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Identify potential legal risks and propose strategies to mitigate them.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, finance, operations, product) to align legal requirements with business goals.
Maintain proper legal documentation and records.
Act as the point of contact for external legal advisors when needed.
Who We Are Looking For
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); additional qualifications such as LLM or certifications in corporate/commercial law are a plus.
Experience: 2-5 years of legal experience, preferably in corporate, commercial, or technology-related sectors.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and compliance.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to analyze complex legal issues and present practical solutions.
Familiarity with data protection, IP, or international legal frameworks is an advantage.
Mindset: Proactive, detail-oriented, and business-friendly approach to legal problem-solving.
Collaboration: Comfortable working closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners.

This structure requires candidates to be financially self-sufficient for approximately the first six months as we build our cash flow, but it offers the chance to build significant ownership and share directly in the success you help create.
