About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cyber Security Analyst to join our team on a contract basis. As a mid-senior level professional, you will play a key role in safeguarding our organization's infrastructure, applications, and data against security threats. You will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, monitoring systems for malicious activity, and implementing proactive measures to strengthen our security posture. This role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise and a passion for protecting digital assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor, analyst, and respond to security alerts, incidents, and breaches.
Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis.
Investigate security events, perform root cause analysis, and recommend solutions.
Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and business teams to implement security best practices.
Develop, update, and enforce security policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Perform regular audits of networks, systems, and applications to identify risks.
Provide guidance on secure configurations, threat modelling, and risk mitigation.
Prepare detailed incident and compliance reports for management review.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field.
5-7 years of proven experience as a Cyber Security Analyst or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls).
Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
Proficiency in vulnerability management and penetration testing tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to explain technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
Prior experience in regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, etc.).
Strong understanding of Zero Trust security principles.
