We are looking for an IT Project Coordinator who will lead the development of IT software systems and, amongst others, collaborate with key European Stakeholders.
Contract type offer:
Freelance agreement or French employment contract through a partner company
Location requirement:
Strasbourg, working from the Agency's comfortable offices (100% on-site).
Responsibilities
Act as a trustworthy advisor by making a feasible project plan that achieves the goals and objectives of the project and aligns with the organization's overall business strategy;
Manage the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including interoperability components, as per user-defined requirements;
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables;
Prepare and maintain project and quality plans and track activities against the plan;
Estimate time schedule, budget, and resource requirements for the successful completion of each project
Be proactive in resolving issues from a resource capacity and project deliverables viewpoint;
Guide and support the team of developers and IT staff in project activities, review their deliverables, and monitor and provide timely and accurate project progress reports to all stakeholders.
Work closely to allocate the best possible IT staff to the required roles in collaboration with contractors to ensure the smooth execution of all activities
Participate in functional working groups and progress meetings;
Monitor costs, schedules, and resources used.
Provide effective leadership for the project team, ensuring that team members are motivated and constantly developing their skills and experience; and
Ensure that the security policies and ITSM or project processes, aligned with the internal processes, are followed by the team.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 - 12 years of experience in the defined area of expertise, and or
Minimum 10 years of experience as a Back-end Developer lead position/s with project management qualities or interests. Or minimum 10 years of IT Project Management experience in managing development projects and applications.
Experience with the following methodologies (e.g. PM2, PRINCE2, PMP) is considered a strong asset.
Consultative Project management in the IT software development and quality-related areas;
Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as well as business process management, and project management standards and methodologies, especially agile/scrum software development methodologies.
Usage of Project Management tools.
Capability of working in an international/multi-cultural environment, understanding the needs, objectives, and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions;
Excellent leadership qualities; and
Ability to chair meetings and to give presentations.
The selected candidate must be able to apply and be eligible for a security clearance at level EU Secret.
