Job Title: Solution Architect (Application-Focused)

Location: Hybrid - Richmond Hill and one day in Mississauga if needed/ live in the west end

Schedule: 3 days/week onsite

Contract Duration: 6 months (with extension based on performance)

About the Role:

Collabera is seeking a hands-on Solution Architect with a strong focus on application architecture to support a critical migration initiative. This role will primarily focus on designing and operationalizing middleware applications, working closely with developers, and interacting with business teams to ensure successful implementation. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with legacy and modern systems, APIs, caching, and middleware, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a hands-on Solution/Application Architect for middleware and application integration.
Work closely with developers and business teams to map system flows, APIs, and authentication processes.
Understand and design middleware solutions, caching techniques, and integrations with legacy and modern systems.
Support a migration initiative, consolidating two systems (including Shopify) into a single optimized system.
Provide guidance and education to developers where needed on best practices and architecture decisions.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.
Ensure seamless order flows, API communication, and system interactions, particularly around OMS and order processing.

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong experience as a Solution/Application Architect with hands-on involvement in technical design.
Solid understanding of middleware, caching, API mapping, and authentication flows.
Experience with Java or .NET technologies (development experience not required).
Proven experience working directly with developers and business teams to implement architectural solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to get things done and ensure successful implementation.
Knowledge of order management systems (OMS) and experience in system consolidation or integration is a plus.

Nice-to-Have:

Exposure to re-commerce or automated order flows.
Familiarity with migration projects (helpful but not required).
Ability to understand legacy systems and modern e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify).
