Do you want to work with cutting-edge technologies and help shape the future of industrial software? Emerson's Process Systems and Solutions business develops automation software that powers the energy and manufacturing industries. We are seeking a Software Development Intern (Summer 2026) who is passionate about software engineering and excited to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, innovative environment based in either our Round Rock, TX or Houston, TX office.

You will contribute to the development of AI-enhanced features for our Midstream O2C Manager for Liquids application and assist in building scalable, modern web applications using Angular and .NET Core.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Collaborate with software engineers to design and implement AI-based functionality within our Midstream O2C Manager for Liquids platform.
Develop and maintain front-end components using Angular and back-end services using .NET Core.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Explore and apply machine learning models and AI techniques to solve real-world business problems.
Work closely with product managers and domain experts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Document technical designs, implementation details, and user guides as needed.

You are curious and eager to learn new technologies, especially in the field of AI and software development. You enjoy solving complex problems and can break them down into manageable tasks. You communicate effectively and thrive in a team-oriented environment. You are meticulous and take pride in writing clean, maintainable code.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university.
Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Technical Field or Business or related field.
Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Junior or Senior
Experience with Angular, .NET Core, or similar frameworks.
Exposure to AI/ML concepts, tools, or coursework.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and DevOps practices.
Previous internship or project experience in software development.
