About the team

As part of the People Shared Services team, the Talent Acquisition & People Experience team creates a seamless and welcoming Roku experience from the very first candidate touch point through a new hire's journey. This team delivers on systems, project management, and services in Talent Coordination, Onboarding, Talent Attraction, and Talent Acquisition processes.

About the role

Roku is looking for an Onboarding Operations Specialist who will act as a partner to the Talent Acquisition team to shepherd new hires from their offer experience through their first month at Roku. This role conducts day-to-day operations and will participate in project-based work.

The ideal candidate will exercise strong attention to detail and proactive communication skills as they partner closely with Talent Acquisition, Workforce Compliance, and Roku hiring teams. They possess expertise in systems thinking to determine root cause, solve problems quickly, and bring forward solutions to onboarding partners (IT, Global Security Workplace Services, Learning & Growth).

What You'll Be Doing

Day-to-day Operations Coordination

Partner with Workforce Compliance and Legal on Employment Documents, Background check processes.
Create & deploy offer documents, initiate background checks, and continually monitor and troubleshoot onboarding readiness across teams (TA for employment documentation, People Shared Services for Right to Work verifications, benefits and payroll enrollment; IT and Global Security Workplace Services for account provisioning and facility access).
Serve as first point of contact for onboarding comms & questions. Route employment doc approvals to hiring managers and send new hire orientation invitations. Revise automated comms templates, email comms, and resources. Answer inquiries via Slack channels and Service Desk and escalate complex issues to leadership.
Conduct monthly and quarterly audits managing region-specific vendors, requirements, and rules for new hire purchase orders and Workday data integrity.

Project Responsibilities

Gather Greenhouse, Workday, and Service desk metrics to support dashboards and identify recurring issues.
Project manage process improvement sprints and provide requirements to Onboarding leadership for experience and system enhancements.
Maintain and ensure version accuracy of offer and onboarding documentation across regions, including start date guides, offer checklists, onboarding workflows and event dates.
Collaborate cross-functionally on recruitment and new hire marketing projects across TA, Employer Brand, People Shared Services and with external TA and Marketing vendors.

We're excited if you have
2 to 3 years of Offer and Onboarding experience
Strong experience with global employment documentation, background checks, and conducting onboarding activities across multiple cross-functional teams
Must have experience utilizing an applicant tracking system (ATS) and a Human Capital Management (HCM) system. Greenhouse and Workday preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to maintain confidentiality, uphold data integrity, and conduct business in ethical manner
Provide effective oral and written communication with employees, candidates, vendors, contractors, and management in a professional manner
Strong organizational skills to prioritize competing requests and attention to detail is an absolute must
Ability to work in a fast-paced global environment
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
