Role Description

This is a contract role for a Bookkeeper in the Ontario, Canada. The role is fully remote, allowing some work from home. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, managing bookkeeping activities, and working with accounting software. Day-to-day tasks include recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and producing financial statements and reports including cash flows. Completing payroll processing, invoicing and bill payments through accounting software and online tools.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of working experience as a bookkeeper/accountant
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Excellent with technology
Experience with Accounting Software - Quick books
Experience with IFRS, CRA, GAAP finance principles
Highly accurate in recording Journal Entries and financial record-keeping
Client communication skills
Ability to work independently
Experience in the consulting industry is a plus
Sales tax knowledge (Canada) and government remittances and filings
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
