Context of the Role

In pursuit of our ambition to remain a key player in the Belgian cybersecurity landscape, we are looking to strengthen our commercial impact and expand our consulting business.

To achieve this, we are seeking a Business Manager who can act as the vital link between the diverse needs of our clients and prospects, and the wide range of expertise available within our growing cyber talent community.

You will build your own team of consultants and Business Unit, managing it as a standalone entity within Approach Cyber. As an Account Manager, you'll work closely with our Sales team too.

We are seeking a key leader to play a central role in developing and structuring your own team. You will directly influence the growth of Approach Cyber, with the opportunity to take on strategic responsibilities and help shape our presence in the market.

As Business Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and deploying Approach's cybersecurity services and solutions, with a particular focus on growing our consultancy business.

Your mission will be threefold:

Develop and manage a portfolio of clients (large corporates, SMEs, and public institutions) seeking cybersecurity expertise.
Identify, recruit, and place cybersecurity specialists (CISO, DPO, SOC Analysts, Penetration Testers, Cybersecurity Specialists, Cloud Security Experts, etc.), while building a strong talent network.
Develop your own Business Unit within the group and ensure its profitability by managing its P&L (budget responsibility: revenue and cost).

Your responsibilities

Business Development

You have a true business developer mindset: identifying, approaching, and convincing new clients will be at the heart of your role.
You build trust-based relationships and guide your prospects towards long-term collaboration.
You actively contribute to tenders and craft tailored commercial proposals with the support of our presales engineers.
You will have all the necessary resources to accelerate the growth of your Business Unit, leveraging our existing references and ISO 27001/27701 certifications, which reinforce our market credibility.
You will also benefit from a strategic position within an influential ecosystem (Cyber Security Coalition, Agoria "Cyber Made in Belgium", etc.), as well as effective tools (CRM, website, LinkedIn) proven to support success.

Client Project Management

You ensure proper resource allocation to guarantee successful project delivery.
You monitor projects closely and maintain clear communication with clients to ensure their satisfaction.

Recruitment & People Management

You build a strong community of consultants ready to be deployed on client projects, engaging and supporting them with the help of internal teams.
You actively participate in talent acquisition to strengthen your team, adopting a hands-on approach to recruitment (headhunting, interviewing, contract negotiation, etc.). For this, you'll work closely and be advised on our processes and tools by our recruiter.
You foster a positive dynamic within your team, encouraging collaboration and excellence.

Steering and Strategy

You define and implement a commercial strategy and development plan aligned with Approach Cyber's objectives. We expect you to gradually take on greater responsibilities by directly contributing to our growth.
As owner of your P&L, you ensure project profitability and help optimise revenue.
You work on client retention and build long-term, strategic partnerships.

Profile

You have a proven experience in business development and opening new accounts in the IT market.
You also have a proven experience in placing IT consultants (freelancers and employees) of various profiles and seniority levels, either in a consultancy or recruitment firm.
You already had the opportunity to build your own candidates' and clients' network which could be activated on new cybersecurity projects.
You are able to identify and open right opportunity sourcing channels (procurement/business) and you are used to build strong contacts with Purchasing and Procurement teams at client.
You are interested in and able to understand cybersecurity challenges.
