The Opportunity

As Director, you will be responsible for actively architecting, building, and scaling our SaaS software solutions on top of existing cloud platforms to deliver high-quality, innovative healthcare offerings. This is not just a strategic role -- we need someone who will roll up their sleeves and get involved in the technical implementation while leading the team. Your ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and deliver exceptional outcomes will be pivotal. You will play a critical role in both implementing and shaping our software strategy, driving innovation through direct involvement, and ensuring our applications' integrity, scalability, and performance as essential components of our SaaS healthcare offering. Additionally, you will maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring that our software solutions align with business objectives and deliver value effectively. Responsibilities

Lead and actively participate in the development of comprehensive SaaS applications utilizing existing cloud service platforms like Databricks, AWS, and Kubernetes to build modern web services. Directly contribute to technical solutions while ensuring the software is scalable, reliable, and fully aligned with business objectives
Define and implement best practices in software development, code quality, and engineering processes. Stay current with emerging technologies, particularly in AI-assisted development, to ensure our engineering practices remain cutting-edge
Build strong relationships with internal customers, partners, and stakeholders. Work closely with Product, Data Science, and other teams to ensure our software solutions meet business requirements. Influence cross-functional initiatives related to software tools, quality, and integration
Guide your team throughout the SDLC. Influence and define the long-term vision, mission, and software strategies. Ensure technical designs are thoroughly evaluated and aligned with business objectives
Manage a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Recruit top talent, provide challenging opportunities, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products
Actively address performance issues, system deficiencies, technical challenges, and new feature development to ensure the best outcomes for the company
Drive the adoption of continuous integration/deployment and automated testing to reduce lead times and increase deployment frequency while maintaining quality

Qualifications

You must currently be located in the Seattle Metro Region and able to work hybrid on-site a minimum of three days per week at our Bellevue location
10+ years of experience in software development, with 5+ years of people management experience. Must have a proven track record of effectively managing teams to meet objectives and deliver results
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required; Master's degree desired
Extensive hands-on experience in architecting and building complex SaaS applications on existing cloud platforms. Strong architectural vision with the ability to design robust software systems that leverage existing platforms and cloud services. In-depth knowledge of cloud-based services and modern development tools
Extensive experience in building micro-services, operation workflow automation and optimization, real-time event handling, customer facing service support Strong experience in building production-level systems, implementing automated testing frameworks, and utilizing modern software delivery practices
