Head of Operational Risk

London, 3 days. 2 from home

We're looking for a leader to take charge of our clients Operational Risk Framework and elevate risk management across the firm. This is your chance to make an impact at a strategic level while shaping the future of operational risk practices.

What You'll Do

Lead and mentor the Operational Risk team as part of the second line of defence.
Oversee critical risk functions: incident reporting, risk & control self-assessment (RCSA), new product risk assessments, control assurance, key risk indicators, and issues management.
Strengthen and innovate our model risk governance, enterprise risk register, loss data capture, and control inventory framework.
Enhance our Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 capital assessment approach to align with Basel 3.1 standards.
Deliver powerful insights through risk committee reporting and dashboards.
Collaborate with senior management to identify emerging risks and ensure business continuity plans are robust.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in Operational Risk Management (2nd line of defence).
Strong knowledge of Basel 3.1 operational risk requirements.
Track record of leading risk transformation or change initiatives.
Expertise in IT risk or cyber risk management is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills, leadership capability, and stakeholder engagement.
