Position Summary:

The Middleware Systems Analyst provides day-to-day support for Middleware Systems, ensuring stability and integrity of distributed platforms hosting critical payment applications. The role includes 24x7 coverage for Middleware services, managing deployments, monitoring utilization, coordinating with technical teams, documenting procedures, and adhering to change/configuration management practices. The analyst also supports incident response, patch/vulnerability management, upgrades, and serves as the team's technical representative in cross-functional discussions.

Responsibilities:

Perform administration and maintenance of Middleware systems, including backups, capacity, change, and security management.
Support Middleware technologies such as IBM MQ, Sterling Connect Direct/FTP, Apache Tomcat, Confluent Kafka, and/or IBM WebSphere.
Assist with Middleware solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
Oversee deployment plans, utilization reports, and BAU projects (infrastructure upgrades, patch management).
Provide problem support to infrastructure partners, developers, and business teams.
Ensure continuity across application lifecycle environments (upgrades, patches, releases).
Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure infrastructure services.

Qualifications Required:

1-3 years as an infrastructure subject matter expert in IT/financial services
1-3 years' experience leveraging ITIL Frameworks and corporate implementations
General understanding of infrastructure product design/implementation/administration at an enterprise scale
Collaborative team player with proven ability to influence stakeholders
Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical partners

Qualifications Desired:

Master's degree or IT-related certification
Agile Service or Product Owner certification
Knowledge of enterprise security best practices and tooling
Proficiency in MS Office (esp. PowerPoint)
Strong attention to detail, risk management, and communication skills
Experience in enterprise infrastructure and agile methodologies
