Job Specifications
This freelance contract role is ideal for an experienced full-stack developer ready to drive the evolution of a web platform currently in its alpha/beta phase. The project centers on refining user onboarding, campaign creation, payments/escrow, and performance tracking for small and medium-sized businesses and non-technical users. You will review and optimize a React/Vite frontend and Node/Express backend with PostgreSQL, enhance UI/UX for two user types, streamline flows, and implement new features for the next release. The position requires close collaboration with product leads, improving dashboards, integrating payment logic, optimizing deployment pipelines (Vercel/Render/GitHub Actions), and ensuring the platform is responsive and scalable. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, delivers weekly progress updates, and produces maintainable, well-documented code.
Deliverables
- Audit and optimize existing React/Vite frontend and Node/Express backend
- Enhance UI/UX for both business and promoter user types
- Eliminate redundant flows and improve onboarding and campaign creation processes
- Integrate and test payment/escrow logic (Stripe, Paystack)
- Improve dashboards for clarity and actionable insights
- Optimize deployment and CI/CD pipelines (Vercel, Render, GitHub Actions)
- Ensure mobile-first, responsive design and scalability
- Collaborate with product leads and provide regular progress updates
- Implement monitoring and error tracking (Sentry, Datadog)
- Deliver clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Requirements
- Proven experience in full-stack development with React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
- Strong understanding of modern UI/UX principles and mobile-first design
- Experience with payment integrations (Stripe, Paystack) and SaaS platforms
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools (Vercel, Render, GitHub Actions)
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (Sentry, Datadog) is a plus
- Ability to work independently and communicate progress effectively
- Experience with ad-tech, influencer, or affiliate platforms is advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Availability for a 2-3 month remote contract, with potential for extension
