Senior/Lead Piping Engineer

Responsibilities

As a Senior/Lead Piping Engineer, you will:

Report directly to project management and take ownership of the piping scope of the project.
Collaborate closely with the Layout Leader and 3D Modelling Coordinator to ensure seamless integration of piping designs.
Supervise Piping Stress studies and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Oversee the selection of materials and validate vessel calculation studies.
Prepare and validate all documentation related to the piping scope, including specifications, data sheets, and requisitions.
Organize and lead meetings with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment and progress.
Plan and monitor project timelines and progress for the piping scope.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Senior/Lead Piping Engineer with an engineering contractor in offshore oil and gas FEED projects.
Fluent English language skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Native/Professional French language skills would be an asset.
In-depth knowledge of applicable regulations, codes of practice, and international standards.
Experience with projects in Latin America (preferred but not mandatory).
A proactive and autonomous approach to work, with strong organizational and leadership skills.

Day-to-Day

Your daily responsibilities will include:

Developing and maintaining key project deliverables such as Piping Design Basis, Piping Material Classes, Valve Selection Philosophy, and Piping Standards.
Preparing specifications, data sheets, requisitions, and technical bid evaluations (TBEs) for piping materials, valves, pressure vessels, and other related equipment.
Supervising the preparation of piping isometrics, pipe support standards, and material take-offs (MTOs).
Ensuring the accuracy and quality of deliverables, including PIG Launcher/Receiver, Flare Package, Corrosion Inhibitor Package, Methanol Package, and more.
Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
