Senior Product Design Freelancer (Part-time/Contract) London, Old Street * (no agency please)

About the role We're looking for a Product Design Freelancer to join our small but high-calibre team in Old Street on a part-time basis (1-3 days/week) with ongoing retainer. We're a team that's 100% AI-native -- not just building AI agents, but using them daily to supercharge our own workflows. Our mission is to reinvent product development through specialised AI agents. We started with product design agents, and now we're building our next generation of agents in the product development space -- we're pushing the limits of what agents can do.

What you'll do

Agent Experience (AX) Design: Shape intuitive interfaces for human-agent collaboration and interaction models that make working with AI agents feel natural and productive
Next-gen AI Product Design: Create cutting-edge user experiences for our next generation of product development agents
Design System Development: Build and iterate on design systems that scale across our expanding suite of AI agents
User Research & Validation: Conduct user interviews and usability testing to validate design decisions for breakthrough agent concepts
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work directly with founders and engineers to define and build groundbreaking agent experiences
Rapid Prototyping: Take agent concepts from idea to high-fidelity prototype

This role is for you if

You're a seasoned product designer with 5+ years experience designing SaaS/PLG products for individuals and teams, ideally with agent experience or AI-powered applications
You have startup/scale-up experience -- you know what it means to design products from scratch that real people actually use
You're passionate about AI and understand how to design intuitive agent experiences, plus actively use AI tools for automation, research, and design generation
You thrive in ambiguity and can work independently across multiple projects simultaneously
You have strong design fundamentals -- proficiency in Figma, user research methods, and design thinking
You love 0-1 product development and the thrill of building something completely new

Requirements:

London-based with ability to work hybrid (minimum 1 day per week in Old Street office)
Legal right to work in the UK as a freelancer
Strong portfolio demonstrating product design excellence for SaaS/PLG products and agent experiences
Available for ongoing retainer arrangement starting 10-20 hours per week
