Very strong experience as a DevOps/SRE/Cloud/Platform Engineer
Excellent AWS
Advanced Python
Very strong CI/CD experience
Kafka/Flink/Kinesis streaming
Agile
The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:
Ability to read Java
GitHub Actions
ArgoCD
Experience in a trading environment
K-Streams
Role: Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS Python Amazon Web Services DevOps SRE Kafka K-Streams Flink Kinesis Agile Java GitHub Actions ArgoCD Site Reliability Platform Cloud Engineer Developer Kubernetes EKS Front Office Trading Finance Banking Asset Manager Investment Management) required by our trading software client in London. You will join a team of 10 engineers spread over London and New York that are part of a department that are building a Fixed Income trading platform. You will be working with one other DevOps Engineer, 4 Front End developers and 4 Back End developers. The Front End developers are working on a large programme of work to rebuild the Front End of this trading system in React, whilst the Back End developers are improving the Back End and implementing Kafka and K-Streams. You will be assisting both the front and the Back End developers and working with ArgoCD and GitHub Actions. You will be working with Python mostly but any knowledge of Go and Java would be advantageous. Any experience with Kafka or K-Streams would also be highly advantageous, as would trading experience, although neither are essential.
The hybrid working is 2 days/week in the office, although there can be flexibility on this.
You would be joining a department that is making very rapid moves in modernisation of technology, working alongside a very high standard of fellow engineer.
Duration: 12-24 months
Rate: PS600-750/day
