Overview
A leading technology firm is focused on delivering cutting-edge AI-driven solutions. Their teams are small, agile, and highly collaborative, with a strong emphasis on quality engineering standards. As a Mid-Level Software Engineer, the successful candidate will be involved in every stage of development, from designing and building AI-driven systems to deploying and maintaining production-ready solutions.
The organisation values adaptability, initiative, and high-quality engineering practices. The engineer will work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and client teams, collaborating both internally and externally to deliver impactful, AI-powered solutions. The technology stack includes Python and TypeScript, and the engineer will also gain exposure to modern AI coding tools, frameworks, and design approaches, expanding their skills while staying on the cutting edge.
The Role
As a Mid-Level Software Engineer, the responsibilities include:
Collaborating with teammates and client teams to build and maintain AI-driven services.
Taking ownership of the quality, reliability, and delivery of your code.
Designing, implementing, and documenting system architectures, contributing to both engineering and operational decisions.
Using modern AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development and improve reliability.
Engaging in requirements gathering, code reviews, testing, and deployment.
Actively participating in team meetings, retrospectives, and planning sessions.
Contributing to a culture of "ship, learn, iterate."
About You
The ideal candidate will bring solid engineering experience and a passion for building impactful software. They will thrive in collaborative environments, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and take initiative when challenges arise.
You will:
Be a natural problem solver who enjoys tackling complex challenges.
Communicate clearly and confidently, including when working with client teams.
Show initiative and ownership of your work.
Be comfortable with ambiguity and fast-moving projects.
Have experience with Python and/or TypeScript.
Be familiar with AI system design and modern AI coding tools.
Share values of openness, ownership, and continuous learning.
Have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application.
