Job Opening: DevSecOps Engineer // Security Engineer IV

Location: Canada -- Remote

Duration: 12+ Months Contract (Extension based on performance)

About the Role:

Seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to strengthen security across our development lifecycle. This role demands hands-on expertise in DevOps and application security to drive secure, scalable, and efficient platform operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and manage CI/CD pipelines to support secure and efficient code delivery
Implement and manage Terraform for infrastructure as code
Apply SCA/SAST tools (e.g., not just Snyk, but broader static code analysis knowledge) to identify vulnerabilities in code dependencies
Conduct and oversee DAST/IAST and Penetration Testing for runtime and interactive threat detection
Manage and secure cloud infrastructure (AWS) across EC2, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB
Ensure continuous security integration across build and release pipelines
Collaborate with development teams to embed DevSecOps best practices
Maintain documentation for security, infrastructure, and deployment processes

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, or related field
5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps and Security Engineering (DevSecOps)
Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems
Proficiency with SAST/SCA practices, beyond just tool usage (e.g., understanding principles behind code analysis)
Experience with Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code tools
Solid understanding of application, network, and data security
Scripting experience for automation and security integration

Certifications like AWS DevOps Engineer or CISSP
