Senior IT Business Analyst (Hybrid- Toronto, ON)

Location: Toronto, ON

Employment Type: Contract (Full-Time, Hybrid-3 days onsite, 2 days home)

Start Date: November 11th, 2025

Pay Rate: Competitive (depending on skills and experience)

Contract: 4 months to start (with possibility of 9 months extension)

About the Role:

Stafingo is partnering with a reputable client in Toronto to hire an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst. This key role will support a major digital transformation program, with a focus on customer-facing web applications. The initiative aims to enhance customer data management, digitize agreements, enable personalized product recommendations, and leverage AI/ML-driven insights to improve customer experience.

The Senior Business Analyst will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and solution architects, ensuring that business needs are precisely captured, documented, and translated into actionable technical requirements that drive seamless system integration and digital enablement.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead requirements gathering workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process walkthroughs to identify and define functional and non-functional requirements.
Develop and maintain structured documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), user stories, process flows, and customer journey maps.
Define and document current ("as-is") and future ("to-be") business processes, identifying opportunities for automation and data-driven improvements.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure requirements are accurately reflected in API specifications, data models, and integration designs, including Helix Remedy.
Support validation of API-based integrations, ensuring data accuracy and workflow alignment.
Partner with UX, product, and digital teams to optimize customer journeys, streamline digital workflows, and improve end-to-end process visibility.
Identify opportunities for digitization and automation within the customer engagement lifecycle.
Facilitate cross-functional stakeholder alignment and support governance processes such as requirements sign-off and change control.
Contribute to testing and validation activities to ensure business and system requirements are met.
Support knowledge transfer, documentation, and walkthroughs to ensure seamless project handover.

Qualifications & Skills:

7+ years of proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst on large-scale IT projects, including enterprise-level system integration or digital transformation initiatives.
7+ years of experience in business process analysis, data management, and system integration.
3+ years of hands-on involvement in enterprise integration projects or digital transformation.
Demonstrated ability to produce structured documentation such as requirements, process flows, customer journey maps, and user stories.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong background working with APIs, data mapping, workflow documentation, and system architecture.
Experience with customer data management, digital workflows, CRM, CMS, or customer experience platforms.
Familiarity with AI/ML-based recommendation systems or data enrichment processes (nice to have).
Proficiency in process modelling tools such as Visio, Lucidcharts, or similar.
Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, including writing user stories and collaborating within agile teams.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills.
Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and propose practical solutions.

Preferred Experience:

Projects involving customer data management, digital workflows, or customer experience platforms.
Experience in public sector or large enterprise environments (nice to have).

Deliverables:

Detailed Business & Functional Requirements Package for the digital transformation initiatives.
Business Process & Customer Journey Map documents describing current and future user experiences.
Supporting documentation, including user stories, use cases, and process flows.
Knowledge transfer sessions, demos, and walkthroughs.

Additional Details:

The engagement is primarily hybrid, with up to 3 days onsite per week (subject to change).
