Senior Software Engineer (Medical Devices / Robotics)

A well-funded, fast-growing surgical robotics startup, founded by leaders in innovation, surgery, and robotics are developing breakthrough technology to transform surgical care. We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive the development, validation, and secure deployment of their next-generation medical device software.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Python-based medical device software
Implement secure deployment systems (licensing, authentication, compliance monitoring).
Design and run automated testing and V&V frameworks to ensure software quality and compliance (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, FDA).
Validate cybersecurity and data integrity controls for HIPAA/GDPR compliance.

About You

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years' experience in medical device or safety-critical software (Python).
Proven expertise in V&V, QA, and regulatory compliance for FDA/EU medical devices.
Knowledge of secure software deployment and commercial release processes.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cybersecurity best practices.

Preferred: Experience with clinical evaluations, cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/GCP), or embedded/RTOS environments.
