What You'll Do as a Senior System Engineer

Service Delivery & Support

Be the go-to expert for complex issues
Solve problems fast and guide end users with confidence
Act as escalation point for the service desk

Infrastructure & Optimization

Manage and monitor daily system and network operations
Implement patches, upgrades, and improvements
Ensure scalability and performance

Security, Projects & Continuity

Lead or support infrastructure projects
Protect systems (firewalls, OS, policies)
Execute DRP and join on-call/shift rotations

Production & Documentation

Oversee releases with precision
Keep infra documentation up to date
Administer databases across environments

Must-Haves

MS Azure (core focus)
VMware, Terraform, Active Directory
Windows Server / infrastructure
Knowledge of Linux
Firewall knowledge (Palo Alto / Fortigate)
Able to combine conceptual thinking with hands-on technical execution
Fluent in Dutch or French, plus solid English

Nice-To-Haves

AS400, SQL, Dell ECS
Affinity with containers, Kubernetes, networking, and security
