Job Title: Internal Auditor II

Location: Charlotte, NC or Hartsville, SC (Hybrid Work Model)

What You'll Be Doing

Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of current business processes across the organization, preparing and updating flowcharts, narratives, and walkthroughs to document this understanding.
Identify risks and internal controls, working with senior auditors or managers to tailor audit procedures to meet audit objectives.
Compile and evaluate information through inquiries, testing, analyses, and observations to draw conclusions about risks and the design and effectiveness of internal controls, including those over financial reporting (SOX).
Assist with drafting audit reports and discussing results and recommendations for remediation or process improvement with management.
Prepare working papers to document procedures performed, analyses made, and support for conclusions reached.
Partner with process owners and business leaders to identify solutions that solve problems, improve processes, and strengthen controls.
Monitor and verify that corrective actions on reported audit findings are completed in a timely manner and are achieving desired results.
Support a culture of continuous improvement and quality in all audit work.
May supervise junior auditors or supplemental resources on limited assignments.
Access reports, data, and other information from various systems to perform analytical procedures.
Participate in fraud or whistleblower investigations as needed.
Coordinate regularly with external auditors to ensure adequate audit coverage, minimize duplication of effort, and maximize reliance on shared work.
Plan and complete assigned audits in accordance with professional standards, providing assistance to external auditors as needed.
Perform other accounting and auditing duties as assigned.
