Job Specifications
Title: Sr. Network Engineer.
Location: WASHINGTON, DC, United States
Potential for Remote Work: Hybrid Remote - 3 days per week onsite
Description
* Install, configure, and maintain scalable network devices such as Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
* Design and implement secure network access solutions and managing security policy using Cisco ISE to meet organizational requirements.
* Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure system availability and reliability.
* Collaborate and partner with other IT platform teams to support and optimize network operations and engineering.
* Implement and manage network security architecture including network security patching and upgrades, security baselines, compliance, and hardware and software maintenance.
* Provide level 2/3 escalation support and troubleshooting to resolve ServiceNow incidents and tasks.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, networking administration, information technology, or a similar field preferred.
* 5 + years of experience in Enterprise Networking
* 2 + years of experience with Cloud PaaS and/or IaaS (Azure)
* Strong understanding of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) administration
* Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN
* CCNA / CCNP / CCIE certification preferred.
* Routing Platforms - Cisco ISR, ASR, CSR
* Switching Platforms - Cisco Catalyst & Nexus
* Knowledge of Network Security, VPN, ACL, DMVPN, IPSEC, NAC, MAB, DOT1X, and Encryption Standards
* Security Platforms - Cisco Firepower Threat Defense, ASA, Secure Firewall Management Center
* Knowledge of Azure Cloud Networking, Fundamentals, and Security best practices: Public (Azure) and Private (Kubernetes) Cloud Technologies.
* Knowledge of Azure architectural principles and key networking services such as MS Azure VNET, VNET-Peering, Private Link, vWAN, Express Route, Firewall, Load Balancer
* Knowledge of F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM)
* Advanced troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to identify, deploy, and manage complex networking systems.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
