Low Carbon Technologies is currently seeking candidates to join our team as a Summer Intern. This temporary full-time, hourly, non-exempt position is at our Plain City, OH facility and reports to the Director of Program Supply Chains.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join our team. The selected candidate will closely collaborate with the Director of Supply Chains and assist in introducing our certification programs to both Beef x Dairy (BxD) cattle producers and Dairy producers across various stages of the supply chain. The internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in agricultural sustainability, data management, and compliance reporting.
Specific duties and key responsibilities for this Internship include, but are not limited to,
Serve as a positive representation of the Low Carbon Technologies Mission and Core Values
Assist in the outreach and introduction of LCT's certification programs to BxD cattle producers, emphasizing the benefits of reduced GHG emissions and carbon credits
Manage and analyze data using LCT's proprietary data platform to ensure candidate cattle meet certification criteria for both beef and dairy production
Support activities related to the USDA's AMP Grant initiative, including enrollment of producer participants and data management related to enrolled cattle
Help develop compliance reporting materials for the AMP Grant, ensuring adherence to USDA guidelines and standards
Conduct research and analysis to inform strategic decisions regarding supply chain initiatives
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes and outreach strategies
Potentially travel domestically (up to 30%) to meet with producers and attend relevant workshops or events
A Summer Intern's work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Work schedules and duties are subject to change to meet departmental needs

QUALIFICATIONS:
Community-oriented mindset Currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Science, or a related field
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data management and analysis
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with producers and team members
Familiarity with agricultural production processes, particularly in beef and dairy sectors, is a plus
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Willingness to travel domestically as required
