The Role:
We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who thrives in high-velocity, high-ownership environments. You'll design and build the core systems powering AI-driven orchestration engine -- shaping architecture, improving scalability, and ensuring reliability as the company continues its rapid growth.
You'll work closely with product, frontend, and AI teams to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions that enable customers to automate mission-critical revenue workflows. This is a hands-on role with broad visibility and meaningful impact on both the product and the engineering culture.
What You'll Do:
End-to-End Ownership: Design and implement scalable backend systems and microservices, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and performance.
High Velocity, High Quality: Produce clean, testable, and maintainable code with rapid iteration and daily deployments.
Architect for Scale: Define system architecture, improve infrastructure, and optimize performance for complex distributed environments.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product, frontend, and data teams to deliver new features and customer-driven improvements.
Mentor & Lead: Guide junior engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.
Continuous Improvement: Champion best practices, automation, and technical excellence to raise the bar across the team.
What You Bring:
5+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in SaaS or backend web-application development.
Proven expertise designing and scaling high-availability systems using Node.js, GraphQL, and GCP.
Strong understanding of modern backend architecture, APIs, data modeling, and cloud infrastructure.
Familiarity with OpenAI or AI-powered systems is a plus.
Track record of technical leadership and mentoring engineering teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a bias for action in fast-paced environments.
Collaborative, customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills.
