Role Description
Our Product Engineers are at the forefront of crafting seamless, intuitive user interfaces that millions rely on for data interaction and collaboration. As part of a team driving key business growth, every UI you build directly influences core metrics like user acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization.
Leveraging advanced knowledge in technologies like TypeScript, React, CSS, and HTML, our engineers ensure Dropbox's platforms are responsive, accessible, and deliver exceptional experiences at scale. Responsibilities
Develop new user-facing features using React and Typescript
Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
Translate designs and wireframes from Figma into high quality code
Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
Work on integrations with calendar services, project management platforms, and to-do list trackers
Support backend development from time-to-time as needed
Collaborate with a scrappy, small team to build the future of time management!
Many teams at Dropbox run Services with on-call rotations, which entails being available for calls during both core and non-core business hours. If a team has an on-call rotation, all engineers on the team are expected to participate in the rotation as part of their employment. Requirements
BS degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
8+ years of software engineering and/or work-related industry experience
Success developing and shipping a large-scale web application with a user-empathetic mindset.
Skilled at building user-facing applications and supporting systems and libraries on web and/or desktop using frontend technologies such as TypeScript, React, HTML/CSS.
Ability to work across the stack on projects and able to build a minimum working product quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience delivering high-impact features in fast-paced, high-growth environments, with a strong sense of ownership over both technical and product outcomes.
Comfortable working in lean, agile teams with frequent deployments and a high degree of aut
