Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Governance Lead with a strong background in software testing, quality assurance, and compliance governance. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of QA/testing experience, including 3+ years in a governance or leadership capacity. This role is responsible for defining and implementing governance frameworks that ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and oversee test governance frameworks, policies, and best practices across multiple programs.
Ensure adherence to SOX control, data governance, and regulatory compliance (SOX, GDPR, ISO, etc.).
Drive continuous improvement in testing and quality assurance processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test lifecycle alignment with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
Govern and monitor usage of test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, qTest).
Review and assess automation, performance, and security testing strategies to ensure quality and compliance.
Create and maintain high-quality documentation and governance reports for senior stakeholders.
Provide guidance and oversight on test automation governance frameworks and implementation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
3+ years in a governance, quality leadership, or compliance oversight role.
Strong understanding of test lifecycle management, QA methodologies, and governance frameworks.
Experience with SOX controls, data governance, and test automation.
Proficiency in test management tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or qTest.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (SOX, GDPR, ISO).
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to performance and security testing frameworks.
Experience in enterprise or regulated environments (e.g., banking, insurance, or healthcare).
Certifications in ISTQB, CGEIT, or Quality Governance are a plus.
