Our client is a professional women's sports team that's here to shake things up. They compete at a premier stadium and pride themselves on setting trends, challenging the status quo, and leading with bold creativity. They're all about redefining expectations, breaking boundaries, and building something that hasn't been done before.

We're looking for a Senior Social Media Manager who lives and breathes the fast-paced world of sports social media. You're the kind of person who's already thinking about tomorrow's content while today's game is still happening. The ideal candidate brings serious passion for sports and social media, paired with innovative thinking and a killer understanding of content strategy. You'll own the team's voice across all platforms, driving storytelling that turns casual fans into superfans and building authentic connections with a rapidly growing community. As a Sr. Social Media Manager, you'll create and execute social strategies that honor the tradition of the sport while pushing the envelope with bold, creative concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

Social

Co-manage the team's always-on social presence (X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, and whatever platform launches next)
Develop campaigns and strategies that drive serious growth--we're talking doubling our TikTok following by EOY
Get creative with ways to fill seats and drive ticket sales
Conceptualize, create, curate, and publish content that makes people stop scrolling and embodies the team's distinct personality
Keep the social Asana calendar organized and planned ahead (because chaos isn't a strategy)
Juggle cross-functional creative requests like a pro
Partner with Communications/Marketing teams to amplify announcements, ticket sales pushes, merch drops, and more

Content Coverage

Capture the magic on your iPhone--home and away matches, training sessions, events, community activations, and behind-the-scenes moments that fans crave
Create content briefs for productions, trainings, and game days that set the team up for visual success
Be a key player in capturing the content that goes across all channels--from media day BTS to player appearances to matchday moments and everything in between

Sponsorship

Collaborate across teams to knock partner deliverables out of the park
Plan and post sponsor content series that feel authentic, not forced
Manage sponsor/partner shot lists for match days
Dream up and execute creative partner content (series/posts) that both sides are proud of
Handle content production briefs, player appearance coordination, Teamworks conversations, storyboards, and partnership marketing collaboration

Matchdays/Match Travel

Cover home and away matches (you'll split travel with the content team, so you won't be gone all the time)
Capture trainings and other activities while on the road
Be at every single home match at the team's stadium--this is non-negotiable
Bring your A-game to match day coverage, which is intense and requires real-time iPhone coverage and posting while the action unfolds
At home matches, you'll also wrangle VIPs, influencers, and freelancers

Analytics/Trend Forecasting

Dive into the data to understand what's working, what's not, and why--then do something about it
Create monthly reports that tell the story of growth and opportunity
Stay ahead of the curve by spotting emerging trends and jumping on culturally relevant moments that keep the team part of the conversation

Influencers

Manage influencer involvement in content creation
Coordinate influencer/VIP experiences on matchdays
Grow influencer engagement by managing match attendance, writing compelling content briefs, and tracking FEVO link performance with ticketing

Qualifications:

4+ years of professional experience in social media management, digital marketing, or related roles (sports, entertainment, or lifestyle brands preferred)
A portfolio of creative social campaigns you're proud of--the wins AND the lessons learned
You're fluent in all major social platforms, their analytics, and best practices (bonus points for knowing emerging platforms before they blow up)
Strong visual eye and solid photo/video skills
Proficiency with creative tools like Slate, Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut, etc.

Capability & Other Characteristics:

Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and matchdays--the schedule is dictated by the games
Exceptional communication, writing, and organizational skills
Team player mentality
Spanish and Portuguese language skills are a plus
Based in a major metro area and ready for in-person coverage and collaboration
Legally authorized to work in the United States

Who You Are:

Boundary-Pusher: You see "industry standards" as a suggestion, not a rule
Storyteller: You know how to craft narratives that make people feel something
Self-Starter: You don't wait to be told what
