About The Role
The product organization within Sofico is expanding as we are delivering more scalable, reliable, and future-proof solutions to our customers worldwide. To help in this broader transformation towards a more product-first organization, we're looking for a Senior Platform Engineering Lead.
In this role, you lead and grow software engineering teams responsible for the technical foundations and shared capabilities that power Sofico's Miles Enterprise product. These teams have a broad focus f.e. shared services, calculation engine, document generation, decision support & AI, identity and access management, integration frameworks, configuration management tooling, data streaming and foundational frameworks.
You play a pivotal role in ensuring these platforms are robust, performant, and extensible, while enabling product teams and external developers to deliver value at speed. Shaping the technology strategy, foster engineering excellence, and driving the delivery of generic product value together with technology and product leadership.
Your responsibilities:
Build and mentor high-performing delivery teams that take pride in owning the core platform components
Partner with product managers, architects, and customer teams to ensure our platform evolves with real-world needs
Contribute to the maturation and standardization of cross-functional processes
Ensure timely delivery, high product quality, and compliance with bug resolution SLAs
Define and track engineering metrics, while also involving the tooling support, to increase developer productivity
Collaborate with the CTO and product leadership to set the platform strategy and align architectural direction with business goals
Promote modern engineering practices, automation, and scalable design patterns to future-proof Sofico's technology stack

What You Bring:
Proven experience (10+ years) in software engineering leadership, with at least 5 years in a director or senior management role
Strong track record of leading teams across multiple platform areas (e.g., shared services, integration, frameworks, data/AI, or customer-facing portals)
Deep understanding of enterprise software architecture, cloud-native systems, and modern DevOps/CI/CD practices
Experience in balancing strategic platform investments with delivery commitments
