We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join our Artificial Intelligence team. This engineer will play a pivotal role in developing AI-powered capabilities. From chatbots and voice agents to intelligent workflow automation, the Senior AI Engineer will design, build, and scale the tools that power experiences for homeowners, loan officers, underwriters, and beyond.

What You'll Do

Collaborate with product to enhance existing services and build new AI-powered features for the mortgage origination process.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions across our digital mortgage platform.
Implement best practices for code quality, testing, deployment, and reliability.
Partner with compliance to ensure all solutions meet strict state and federal mortgage regulations.
Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations to deliver features that improve customer and internal user experiences.
Build and scale core AI capabilities, including virtual assistants (voice and chat) and the tools they integrate with.
Stay up to date with advancements in AI, software engineering, and mortgage technology to inform our platform evolution.

Requirements

Master's degree in engineering preferred (not required).
5+ years of full-stack app development experience.
Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, React, REST APIs, and WebSockets.
Comfortable in cloud-based microservice environments.
Experience building agentic AI features, including chatbots and voice agents (OpenAI SDK or equivalent).
Experience with RAGs, MCP servers, or implementing tools for LLMs.
Strong commitment to writing maintainable, well-tested software.
Excited to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
Strong accountability and ownership mindset.
Bonus: Experience with telephony/dialer systems (Twilio or similar).
