The Internal Platform at Squarespace is critical for supporting growth initiatives at scale, from developing tools for Customer Operations advisors to empowering Marketing with integrated platforms to create and measure global campaigns, leveraging generative AI and the latest cloud technologies. Internal Platform supports Legal and IT and more than 500 Customer Operations advisors and hundreds of millions of dollars in Marketing spend.
Our Internal Platform teams work across our diverse set of partners, collaborating with Product, Design and Analytics to solve unique challenges. You'll be responsible for building thoughtfully designed interfaces that enable Squarespace's scale and market presence.
This is a hybrid position, you will report to an Engineering Manager in our New York City headquarters 3 days out of the week.
You'll Get To...
Develop and improve internal and external customer-facing support products and services
Collaborate with engineers, designers and product owners to create a user-focused experience
Keep our product updated with the latest frontend technologies such as React and ES2016+
Practice disciplined software engineering (e.g. automated testing, code reviews, and writing beautiful, readable code)
Contribute to team and company standards
Encourage the technical growth of your team and teammates
Who We're Looking For
Strong JavaScript development skills, understanding of new ES6 concepts, and proficiency in React, Angular, or other modern JS frameworks
Experience developing large-scale application software
Have full knowledge of the DOM, new HTML5 constructs, and CSS3
Have experience with Single Page Application development
Keep up-to-date with the newest technologies
Develop features and create fulfilling user experiences
Understanding of, and practical experience with, web application development
A sincere commitment to creating readable and dependable code
BS in Computer Science or related or equivalent industry experience
Experience in backend development using Java, Python, C, or similar languages
3+ years of experience

Cash Compensation Range: $110,500 - $178,250 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to receive an incentive award as part of their total compensation.
