Boffin Recruitment are supporting a leading membership organisation in the UK education sector to appoint a Special Projects Manager to the CEO's Office.

This is a key position working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, responsible for coordinating and delivering a range of strategic, cross-cutting projects that underpin the organisation's mission and strategic goals.

About the role

Working closely with the CEO, this role will:

Lead and deliver high-impact projects from planning through to delivery and evaluation.
Translate strategic briefs from the CEO into actionable project plans, tracking progress against agreed milestones.
Manage project risks, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and compliance standards.
Build strong relationships with internal teams, members, and external partners to support successful project delivery.
Prepare reports, updates and presentations for the CEO, board and leadership team.
Act as the first point of contact for the CEO's office, coordinating internal communications and supporting cross-team collaboration.
Undertake office management duties, ensuring effective coordination of activities within the CEO's office and supporting smooth day-to-day operations.
Serve as secretariat for key internal meetings, including the weekly Leadership Team and monthly Performance Review meetings.
Handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism at all times.

About you

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

Strong project management experience, ideally across multiple workstreams.
Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and confidence preparing reports and presentations for senior audiences.
Experience working directly with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
A collaborative and adaptable approach, with sound judgement and discretion.
High standards of professionalism, resilience, and a positive, proactive attitude.
Experience within a membership organisation, association, or higher education environment is desirable.

Salary, benefits and process

Salary: PS45,000-PS50,000 (dependent on experience)
Hybrid working: 3 days per week in the Central London office.
Full-time, permanent position with a friendly, collaborative team culture.
Two-stage interview process, including a short task at the final stage.
