POSITION: Full-Stack Developer

REPORTING TO: Chief Technology Officer

ViTAA Medical Solutions Inc. "ViTAA" is a fast-growing medical device company that is developing AI-powered image analysis software for the diagnosis and treatment of vascular aneurysms. ViTAA's platform technology uses medical images and applies proprietary algorithms to map areas of weakness of the wall of the aorta. The mission is to contribute to the dramatic reduction of aneurysm rupture, surgery planning, endoleaks, and other complications associated with aortic aneurysm disease. Backed by strategic investors and major clinical partners, we are scaling our product portfolio across North America and Europe.

This role offers the opportunity to develop an advanced technology capable of saving thousands of lives.

LOCATION: ViTAA is a virtual company with offices in Montreal, and key personnel in Montreal, Calgary, Toronto, and Florida (USA).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in the development of static and dynamic 3-dimensional computer graphics-based algorithms for computational and visualization applications.

Assist in the development of FDA compliant software quality processes and work closely with regulatory and quality assurance engineers to ensure development of quality software.

Work closely with scientific advisors, physicians, and research teams to develop user-interface for use in clinical workflows.

Specify, prototype, implement, and conduct feasibility studies of medical software product components.

General software development tasks such as bug fixes, updating and editing existing code when required.

Write documentation (SOP, protocols, reports, manuals) as per ISO 13845:2016 medical device standard.

Present key business and technical findings to stakeholders in presentations (Design Reviews).

KNOWLEDGE/ TRAINING:

2-5 Years of experience in a software development position.

Bachelor's/Master's Degree Software/Systems Engineering or a related field

Demonstrable programming skills (any language - show us what you can do)

Problem-solver mentality - A passion for figuring out what the client/user really needs and delivering that as efficiently as possible. Be sure to highlight this in your cover letter

About the Company

ViTAA's RAW(tm) (Regional Areas of Weakness) Mapping technology can analyze the deformation of the aorta wall using images captured throughout the cardiac cycle. Then, by incorporating critical simulation data on blood flow and location and size of clots (ILT or intraluminal thrombus) within the aneurysm, ViTAA's algorithms compute and generate detailed strength and weakness maps of the abdominal aortic aneurysm.
