Job Specifications
We are seeking a skilled and proactive SC Cleared Network Test Specialist to join a high-profile data and analytics programme within a secure government environment. This role forms part of a new Scrum team within the Minerva platform, developing and delivering ingestion and risking capabilities on the SAS Viya 4 platform, including Intelligent Decisioning (IDP).
Key Responsibilities:
Work as part of an Agile delivery team, contributing to sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, and progress reporting.
Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and Business Analysts to ensure comprehensive test coverage aligned to business and technical requirements.
Design and implement automated testing strategies and frameworks for SAS Viya 4 applications, including UI testing (Visual Analytics, Intelligent Decisioning) and data pipeline integrations.
Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, PyTest, or JUnit, integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
Support the integration of automation into Git-based CI/CD environments (eg, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Manage test data, environments, and defect resolution processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in SAS Viya containerised deployments (eg, OpenShift, Kubernetes).
Ensure clear communication of testing progress and results to relevant stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven background in test automation for data and analytics platforms, ideally including SAS Viya 4.
Strong Scripting skills in Python, Shell, or similar languages.
Hands-on experience with REST API testing, CI/CD tools, and version control systems (Git, Jenkins, GitLab).
Experience designing test strategies for both UI and system integration automation.
Solid understanding of data management, profiling, and test direction in an Agile environment.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Active SC Clearance is mandatory.
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with SAS Viya architecture and components (VA, ID, CAS).
Understanding of containerised environments and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
