Palo Alto Engineer - Surrey (Hybrid, Inside IR35) - £500 per day - 6-12 months
We are seeking an experienced Palo Alto Engineer to lead an enterprise-wide network segmentation program. In this role, you will deliver initial segmentation using Layer 7 Palo Alto Firewalls for critical infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NTP, and PKI. You will translate business intent and application data flows into declarative network policies, helping to reduce the network attack surface and enhance cyber resilience across multiple regions in Asia.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement segmentation landing zones using Palo Alto Networks NGFW technology, enabling secure hosting of critical infrastructure workloads.
Analyze and rationalize historical traffic flow logs for critical workloads, aligning patterns with business intent and translating findings into scalable, maintainable Firewall policies.
Correlate traffic flow data with enterprise CMDB sources to identify and document application components, ensuring policies accurately reflect operational requirements.
Collaborate with internal business units, developers, architects, and SMEs to validate and refine observed network flows prior to policy enforcement.
What You Will Ideally Bring:
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks NGFW (Layer 7/App-ID).
Strong understanding of network segmentation, Zero Trust principles, and secure infrastructure design.
Experience analysing traffic flow logs and correlating with application and CMDB data.
Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical and business stakeholders.
Contract Details:
Duration: 6-12 months (with potential for extension)
Day Rate: Up to £500 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Surrey, Redhill (Hybrid - 1 day onsite)
Start Date: ASAP
