Join Qonto's growing Regulatory team to ensure compliance across our eight European markets (). Work closely with Guilhem, our team lead, to support Qonto's growth while meeting supervisory expectations. Your work will directly impact how we energize European SMEs and entrepreneurs through compliant and innovative financial services.

Start date: February - March 2026

Duration: 6 months

As a Regulatory Compliance Intern at Qonto, you will:

Advisory role on Compliance topics: Support all teams at Qonto in their projects and on the regulatory requirements to consider. Regular topics include payment institutions' rules, payment services, outsourcing, data protection, KYC/KYB, regulatory reporting, partnerships, etc.
Engagements with Supervisors: Assist in handling queries from Qonto's supervisory authorities, under the team's supervision. You will ensure that the Regulatory team provides accurate, precise, and consistent replies to the ACPR, and the authorities in the countries where Qonto is based.
Horizon Scanning: Make sure that Qonto remains up-to-date on new laws & requirements impacting the compliance of our offer and the way we identify and manage risks.
Collaborative Projects: Work closely with team members on various compliance initiatives, gaining exposure to different aspects of fintech regulation across our four markets ().
Individual Project Management: Develop and oversee your compliance-related project under the guidance of experienced team members, applying your learning in a practical context.

About your future manager:

His path? Guilhem has a robust background in Regulatory Compliance and Internal Control, with over 8 years of experience. Before joining Qonto, he held key roles at Lyra Collect as the Head of Compliance and Internal Control, and at KPMG as a Senior Consultant. He also has experience in Financial Security at Indosuez Wealth Management. Guilhem has been with Qonto for almost 2 years, starting as a Regulatory Expert and now leading our Regulatory Compliance team.

What he can bring to the team? Upon joining Qonto, Guilhem has been pivotal in advising on regulatory requirements and acting as a solution-oriented stakeholder across various strategic projects. He leads regulatory analyses for senior management and ensures Qonto’s compliance with various requirements across our four markets. Guilhem’s proactive approach helps Qonto’s teams identify and mitigate non-compliance risks while fostering a culture of continuous learning. He is dedicated to helping you grow in your role by providing insightful guidance and support, ensuring you perform your job skillfully and effectively.

About You:

Education: Ideally pursuing a degree in Banking Law, Compliance, Data Protection, or Business Law.
Experience: Prior internship or apprenticeship in a law firm, consulting firm, financial institution, or fintech is a plus. First-time experiences are also welcome!
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to understand and interpret complex regulatory requirements.
Communication: Excellent at presenting findings and explaining regulatory constraints, adapting your style to different audiences.
Languages: Fluent in English and French. Knowledge of Italian, Spanish, or German is a plus.
