Job Specifications

Ivy Rock Partners are pleased to be working with a world-renowned creative institution in recruiting a Finance Business Partner. As part of its professional services team, the finance department plays a vital role in ensuring the strategic and sustainable use of resources that underpin the organisation’s academic and creative ambitions.

The Opportunity:

This is an exciting interim opportunity for a qualified Finance Business Partner to join a collaborative and forward-thinking finance team on a 4-month fixed-term contract. You will be responsible for supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities across a varied and dynamic portfolio, partnering with senior leaders to enable informed decision-making and long-term financial sustainability.

You will act as a trusted advisor to budget holders, providing insightful analysis, challenge, and commercial guidance, while contributing to wider initiatives that enhance financial management and business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with senior stakeholders to understand business priorities and provide strategic financial insight.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring robust assumptions and alignment with organisational objectives.
Deliver accurate and timely management information, including variance analysis and KPI reporting.
Provide financial analysis to support business cases, costing models, and forward planning exercises.
Support month-end and year-end processes, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.
Develop financial awareness across departments, providing guidance and training to non-finance colleagues.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

About You:

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with experience of partnering with senior stakeholders in a complex organisation. You will combine strong technical skills with the ability to analyse large data sets, deliver clear insight, and communicate financial information with clarity and impact. Public sector experience is desirable.

You will also bring:

Proven experience of working to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Excellent Excel and financial reporting skills.
The ability to influence, challenge, and support decision-making across diverse teams.
A collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
