Your Role And Responsibilities

During your internship, you’ll have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge and gain professional experience by working on client projects. Potential Work Experiences Include

Programming Landscape: Assist in identifying, analyzing, and documenting program operational characteristics, gaining valuable insights into coding and cybersecurity.
End-to-End Application Lifecycle Experience: Shadow key stages of application implementation — from requirements definition to design, development, testing, and data migration — enhancing your understanding of the full lifecycle.
System Management: Contribute to essential activities such as system configurations and management tools, including backup and recovery processes, while strengthening your skills and supporting system integrity.
Diverse Exposure: Engage in hands-on experiences with cloud platforms and foundational concepts in data science and AI ethics. Participate in the development and execution of test groups, including automation and test cases, and present your findings for a well-rounded internship experience.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

Currently pursuing a university degree with a track-record of academic success… (add any required education/geo requirements to this bullet point)
Strong Interpersonal skills that enhance collaboration and relationship building, while also managing dynamic workloads in an agile environment
Have initiative and passion to actively seek new knowledge and improve skills while embracing a growth mindset to assimilate diverse viewpoints
Demonstrate leadership experience and ability to communicate effectively through active listening; while also be willing to adapt and have a readiness to take ownership of

tasks and challenges.

Knowledge of basic AI concepts, ethics, methodologies, and basic data science concepts

Minimum Required Education:
High school diploma and active enrollment in a higher education degree program in a relevant field.

IBM will not provide visa sponsorship for this position. Eligible candidates must not require sponsorship now or in the future to be considered.

Required Work Location:
These positions, anticipated to start in 2026, will be based at the Monroe, Louisiana Client Innovation Center.

Candidates must be local to their assigned Client Innovation Center location or willing to relocate prior to the start date at their own expense.
On average, employees are expected to work on-site at the local IBM office at least three days per week.
While this role typically involves minimal business travel, candidates should be willing to travel up to 100% if required, depending on work assignments.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes, including foundational principles of quality engineering.
Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and introductory experience in software development.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, technology-driven consulting environment.
