Job Title: AWS Node.js Backend Engineer (Amazon Connect Team)

Location: Dallas, TX

Job Type: Contract on w2

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer with strong Node.js and AWS serverless experience to join our Cloud Engineering team. You will help design, build, and integrate intelligent contact center solutions on AWS. Experience with Amazon Connect is a plus — but not mandatory if you have a solid background in Node.js backend development using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain serverless backend applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and Node.js.
Integrate with Amazon Connect, backend systems, and third-party APIs.
Build and manage RESTful APIs and event-driven workflows (EventBridge, Kinesis, or Kafka).
Implement secure and scalable architectures across AWS environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams — DevOps, QA, and Product — to deliver production-grade solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot production issues ensuring performance and uptime.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

7–10 years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend or serverless architecture.
Strong Node.js development skills.
Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, S3, IAM, DynamoDB.
Familiarity with event-driven systems (Amazon EventBridge, Kinesis, or Kafka).
Experience developing REST APIs and working with JSON-based integrations.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Terraform or CloudFormation, and DevOps best practices.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Exposure to Amazon Connect (contact flows, Lex bots, Lambda integrations).
Experience with Amazon Lex, Polly, or AI/ML services in AWS.
AWS Certifications (Developer Associate or Solutions Architect).
Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, PCI, etc.).
