About The Opportunity
Our reputable client has an Immediate requirement for a Senior Firmware Engineer to join their team onsite in Ottawa. This is a great opportunity to be part of a well-established Organization where you will play a critical role in developing firmware for embedded IoT products. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with Embedded products, FreeRTOS, ARM, Wireless, Bare-Metal, IoT devices and hands-on experience with C Programming language.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Developing Embedded firmware that will run on Embedded IoT products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements
Design, code, integrate, debug and document software that is scalable, robust, and performant
Develop new features on an ongoing, incremental basis
Implement low power algorithms
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
Degree from a recognized university or community college with an acceptable specialization in computer, electrical engineering, systems engineering, computer science or information systems
Must have 7+ years of professional experience in C and FreeRTOS for embedded software development
Must have 7+ years of experience developing embedded software in C and FreeRTOS
Knowledge of ARM/INTEL based microcontrollers (STM32 MCUs highly desirable)
Experience with communications protocols, such as TCP/IP, BLE, SPI, UART/RS232, RS485, I2C,
Experience with FreeRTOS, Bare-metal, Wireless, Bluetooth, GPS, RF, LoRa technologies will make someone standout
Strong team player, collaborative, self sufficient, able to work
Must be able to work onsite
