Swoon is hiring for our energy & utilities client in Houston, TX and this will be a hybrid role.

This is an 11-month contract opportunity with Benefits - Health, Dental & Vision (50% of premium is covered for contractor).

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented contractor to support payment processing operations within the CDM system. This role is highly data-driven and requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, and efficiency in reviewing and applying customer payments. The ideal candidate enjoys working with numbers, researching discrepancies, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process and post all assigned manual and electronic customer payments accurately and efficiently.
Research check payments and determine appropriate customer accounts for application.
Reconcile payment discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely, professional manner.
Perform daily reconciliations of payments to ensure accuracy.
Assist with specialized or complex payment research tasks as assigned.
Develop and maintain reports using internal systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Collaborate with team members through group chat and other internal communication tools.
Support additional department initiatives and special projects as needed.
