The Wood Automotive Group, one of Alberta's largest automobile retailers for over 40 years, is offering an exciting opportunity for an Internet Sales Manager to join our Woodridge Ford Lincoln team!

About The Internet Sales Manager Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Internet Sales Manager to lead our internet sales operations. This leadership-focused role is designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented automotive environment and is eager to lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team.

As the first point of contact for all internet leads, you will play a central role in the customer journey, handling incoming leads, assigning them strategically to Sales Consultants, and driving performance across the board. You’ll work closely with other Sales Managers to desk deals, open and close shifts on a rotating schedule, and ensure that our dealership exceeds its internet sales goals through strategic execution and team leadership.

Responsibilities (But Not Limited To)

Lead the Sales Department by supervising, coaching, and motivating a team of Internet Sales Consultants.
Manage and assign incoming internet leads efficiently to the appropriate team members, ensuring prompt follow-up and customer engagement.
Act as the first point of contact for internet-based customer inquiries, ensuring a high-quality experience from the very beginning.
Desk deals with and collaborates with other Sales Managers to close transactions profitably and efficiently.
Support rotating opening and closing responsibilities with the management team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Develop and implement effective internet lead handling strategies and SOPs to drive higher volume and closing ratios.
Build long-term customer relationships through repeat, referral, and conquest business channels.
Ensure compliance with dealership policies, procedures, and performance standards.
Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and performance monitoring of the Internet Sales team to maintain a culture of excellence.
Match customers with their New or Used vehicle needs
Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients to further grow and promote our large inventory and brand.
Ensure that dealership policies and procedures are understood and followed by the Internet Sales team.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of automotive sales experience; internet sales or desking experience is strongly preferred.
Proven leadership or management background with experience in assigning leads and guiding team performance.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Strategic, analytical, and creative approach to sales and lead conversion.
High level of professionalism, accountability, and integrity.

Requirements

Class 5 AB driver’s License
Clean and current driver’s abstract
AMVIC Licensed
Experience in online sales or marketing, preferably in e-commerce or related industry (Automotive)
