Description

The Pixel Design Engineer will contribute to challenging pixel and technology development as part of the technology team at the OMNIVISION R&D center in Belgium. This is an opportunity to become a part of a dynamic and growing team.

Responsibilities

Develop new pixel architectures and technologies
Drive pixel circuit simulations and integration at product level
Model projected pixel performance at system level
Support investigative characterization and evaluation in collaboration with the characterization team
Achieve state of the art pixel performance through timing/voltage optimization
Collaborate with Process Integration, Optical Engineering and Algorithm teams across the globe
Interact closely with our European sensor design teams in Belgium and Oslo

Requirements

Background on CMOS technology and/or CMOS Image Sensors required
Can interpret analog and mixed signal circuit designs and understand limitations, familiar with simulation and other design tools (e.g. Spice)
Understands image sensor use cases for global shutter and HDR and can model system-level performance
Experience and interest to work hands-on in the lab to bring up new technology and solve issues and image artefacts as needed
Familiar with modeling and analysis tools (e.g. Python, Matlab)
Must have a strong teamwork mentality, good communication skills
