Do you have 10+ years of specific expertise in Java? Apply now for a long-term, hybrid contract opportunity for a European client in Brussels.

Requirements:

10+ years of expertise in Java development and design, with a strong background as an Architect or Senior Engineer.
8+ years of expertise with Web Services (SOAP, REST, etc.) and knowledge of interoperability technologies (e.g., message-oriented middleware, event architecture).
Very good knowledge of Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, ORMs (Hibernate, JPA), and build tools like Gradle.
Strong knowledge of microservices and modern Cloud Architecture best practices and patterns.
Good knowledge of applications design, Enterprise Architecture, and using modelling tools.
Good knowledge of Relational DBMS (e.g., Oracle) and user authentication/authorisation systems.
Knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools like Jenkins, as well as Agile development principles.
Very good communication skills to present both business and technical information, strong analysis/problem-solving skills, and the capability to write clear, structured technical documents.
Languages: English (fluent).

Job Description:

Apply architecture best practices and patterns to design and govern high-quality application solutions.
Contribute to the design and implementation of microservices architecture within a cloud environment.
Write clear and structured technical documents, including application design and architecture specifications.
Participate in technical meetings and effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ensure application designs integrate with user authentication/authorisation systems and follow business process analysis best practices.
Maintain high quality standards across the application lifecycle and contribute to the technical knowledge base.
