Full Stack Developer | Python / JavaScript | Hybrid (Sheffield)

I’m working with a creative technology studio developing software used by media companies, artists, and production teams to design and deliver interactive digital experiences.

Their tools combine real-time graphics, data visualisation, and cloud-based collaboration features that power everything from live installations to broadcast overlays. With new projects ramping up, they’re expanding their core engineering team and are looking for a Full Stack Developer to help shape the next generation of their platform.

What you’ll do

Build and maintain backend APIs in Python (Django)
Develop intuitive web interfaces and creative tools in JavaScript
Collaborate with designers and graphics engineers
Improve system reliability, scalability, and developer workflows
Deploy production-ready code to cloud environments and ensure smooth releases

Essential experience

Solid Python development background +2 years of RestAPI development + integration
Modern JavaScript skills (Vanilla, React, Vue)
Relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL)
Git-based collaboration

Nice to have

Experience with WebSockets or real-time systems
Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure
Interest in creative coding, digital media, or interactive graphics

About you

Based within commutable distance of Sheffield
Comfortable in a hybrid setup (3 days onsite)
Right to work in the UK (no current or future sponsorship required)
