Role Overview: The Co-op Student will provide support to the finance department.

Primary Responsibilities

Update and reconcile the global cash balances and activities
Assist with cash management and liquidity planning processes
Support FX and gold trading activities
Collaborate with banks on trade confirmations and settlements
Coordinate and collect documents from departments for corporate development or financing;
Responsible for assessing and maintaining the internal controls documentation
Assist with accounting activities, month-end close, audit requests, and quarterly financial reports
Assist with financial analysis, quarterly forecasting, and annual budgeting process
Participate in projects and assignments as needed

Experience

Preferred

Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in a Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics discipline
Strong quantitative, written, and verbal communication skills with a clearly defined interest to work in finance
A high demonstrated level of attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
